About Cyntha

Cyntha Desert VQ.png

Cyntha Gonzalez began her career in her native US, in the Transpersonal Psychology field, having studied at the University of Michigan and the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Her work integrated energy healing, having trained in massage therapy, Tai Chi and Reiki.

Cyntha lived in Mexico and then Peru, where she actively studied nature mysticism with indigenous healers. While in South America, she spent significant time in Brazil where she was exposed to several healers that broadened her understanding of spiritual, metaphysical and emotional healing.

France became Cyntha's home for the next 7 years where she taught complementary healing seminars in the psychiatric field as well as self-development workshops. During that time, she created Creative Response Therapy™- facilitating and teaching Spontaneous Painting, other visual arts therapies, as well as Movement and Drama Therapy. She spent significant time in Morocco where she began her strong connection with the Arab and Muslim cultures.

With moves to England and then Dubai, Cyntha expanded her human relations counseling and coaching practice and Creative Response Therapy™. She created a year-long counseling and healing course 24 years ago that she continues to teach, as well as workshops in Constellation, Sacred Intimacy and Radical Forgiveness. She has taught her workshops and seminars throughout Europe, Africa, India, New Zealand and the Middle East. She  currently resides in Dubai, her home for the last 20 years. She lately spends extensive time in  California, India, Palestine and Israel.

When Cyntha moved to the UAE, she began leading shamanic vision quests in the Omani mountains and the UAE sand deserts. 22 years on, she continues to offer commissioned quests and a yearly one in both the UAE mountains and the Empty Quarter.

Cyntha has continued facilitating and training practitioners in Creative Response Therapy™. She offers it on an online platform.

In 2017, Cyntha joined Thomas Hübl's Pocket Project Training, learning how to work with Collective Trauma in both small and large group processes. This has been a natural evolution, given her long experience with somatic and trauma work in her private practice, her peace work in Palestine/Israel and gender work in India and the Middle East.

She is also a certified Holotropic Breathwork™ facilitator, deeply impassioned by this modality, having facilitated workshops in the US, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East over the last 30 years. The practical transpersonal psychology applications of it have also informed her art therapy work of CRT™ and trauma release work.

Cyntha is currently working on her first book, recounting her eventful journey of marrying in Egypt and ten years later, divorcing in the UAE. She shares her journey of her commitment that love would win out and  that psychological rigorousness would prevail in the separation process - legally and personally. This process has informed her seminars on Radical Forgiveness throughout the Middle East and India.

She also enjoys the lighter side of a couple's journey as a celebrant. She has officiated weddings and partner unions for the last 30 years, bringing a contemporary psycho-spiritual influence to these sacred rituals.

A Course in Miracles has been one of Cyntha's primary spiritual practices for the last three decades. She is committed to the path of true seeing of another and herself - seeing with the lens of love rather than of fear.

Cyntha has been a principally raw vegan for 17 years. She teaches and lectures on the benefits of raw food and how to bring greater awareness and healing to emotional comfort eating.

Open-water swimming, wild nature, metaphysical gatherings, languages and international travel are strong passions.  Cyntha is also a certified teacher of Kundalini Yoga.

She is a mother of a spirited daughter, who is appreciably one of her greatest teachers.
